Comedian and video blogger Franchesca Ramsey is back with a hilarious video on black women, loving our kinky-curly hair, and the frustrations of transitioning to natural styles. The Secret to Long Natural Hair — developed by Ramsey with a group of like-minded black female webs stars — offers African-American women a simple solution to the perennial question of how to make their hair grow.
On September the 22nd, finally the second edition of ‘It Is All About Hair’ will take place. During this event there be different interesting workshops, with topics like: Trends & Tips from different bloggers, and detox your Cosmetics. Also there will be a talkshow discussing the commercial aspect of the black hair industry. And the ability to shop till you drop.

I don’t know who to thank, and why it is happening now, but sophisticated buns are everywhere! From Lianne Las Havas to the braids bun Beyonce showed up with all of a sudden at Bergdort Goodman, wearing her own creation for House of Dereon.

The summer started, and festivals and Fashion events are coming up. Just like last year, I will be searching for beautiful naturals on the different events. I started my search at Pinkpop, but was real disappointed, out of the 79.000 people that went to the festival; I was able to find 3 naturals… I hope I will do better at Lowlands, North Sea Jazz and the Amsterdam Fashion Week…

Is seems, since the workshop by ‘Felicia Leatherwood’, our Dutch Curly friends are everywhere and have been busy and motivated to put our own products on the map. And rightfully so! Sometimes, rare, but it happens, you just love the person behind the designs, almost even more then there products. Mind you, I said ‘ALMOST’! And that’s the case with these two ladies. You have to love them, and I want to share them.

But it eventually was a reversible Apron that made me fall in love with her work even more. Everything to do with my love for cooking, I had to have one of those, detailed, and handmade aprons, with pockets on two sides, and stylish material, making me look cool in the kitchen. Again, the perfect gift, and must have.
