Good Hair Festival

If you are half as obsessed with afro hair as me, and you want to learn more about your own hair, and others textures, you must visit the ‘Good Hair Festival’ in Amsterdam’s Tropenmuseum this weekend.

Why are we so fascinated with hair, what are the hair facts, the differences, and similarity between black and white.

As part of the exhibition ‘Black and White’, The Tropenmuseum has a full program this weekend.

Saturday The Tropenmuseum will dig a little deeper into the subject of hair. With discussions, a hair-tour, five different theater plays on this subject, or be a part of a radio broadcast and listen to professionals, and fellow obsessed hair lovers talk about hair. The day will finish with a diner by Restaurant Fraiche. (30 euro’s), and to guarantee you seat, send a mail to: reserveren@tropenmuseum.nl

On Sunday there will be a hairmarket all day with over 30 stands with unique hair products, accessories, and different techniques for your hair, so bring you wallet!

At the exhibition there is room to watch youtube tutorials, so if you are into new tips and tricks, you needs will be fulfilled. But there is more, Q&A with different bloggers, personal hair stories, and men can sit down and enjoy a good haircut at the Barber on site. During the day you can watch and listen to different performances, so music too!
